End-user licence agreement
Last updated 13 October 2026.
This agreement is between you (the business or person installing Coldtill) and Coldtill ("we"). By downloading, installing or running Coldtill you agree to it.
1. What you may do
- Free edition. You may download, install and run the Free edition at no charge, for your own business. It sends 2% of each sweep to Coldtill on chain.
- Standard and Pro editions. After paying for an edition, you may install and run it, and every release published during your year of updates, for your own business. Standard sends 1% of each sweep to Coldtill; Pro sends nothing.
- Unlimited use inside your business. There is no limit on projects, shops, servers or transaction volume, as long as they're for your own business and the businesses it controls.
- Updates. A purchase includes releases published for one year from payment. Releases you were entitled to stay downloadable and usable after that year. Releases that fix a published security advisory are available to every buyer at no charge, whenever they're published.
2. What you may not do
- Share, sell, lend, publish or otherwise give a Standard or Pro build, download link or install token to anyone outside your business.
- Run Coldtill as a service that processes payments for other merchants (for example, a hosted gateway for clients).
- Remove, bypass or change the sweep fee in the Free or Standard editions, or alter the deposit contracts or programs to avoid it.
- Reverse engineer the software, except where the law allows it despite this restriction.
We log downloads (account, release, IP address) to protect against sharing. If an account or install token is shared, we may revoke it.
3. Your responsibilities
Coldtill is self-custody software. You run it, and you alone control your wallets and keys.
- You're responsible for your server, its security, your cold wallet, your hot wallet keys and their backups. We can't recover lost keys or funds, reverse transactions or move money on your behalf.
- You're responsible for complying with the laws that apply to your business, including tax, consumer, sanctions and anti-money-laundering rules in the places you sell.
- Blockchains, node providers, swap providers and wallets are run by third parties. We don't control them.
4. Payment and refunds
Prices are in US dollars and paid in crypto through Coldtill. Because the software can be downloaded immediately, purchases are non-refundable once a build has been downloaded, except where the law requires otherwise. If something went wrong with a payment, contact support@coldtill.com.
5. Warranty and liability
Coldtill is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for lost funds, lost profits, or indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability under this agreement is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
6. Ending the agreement
You may stop using Coldtill at any time. If you break section 2, your licence ends and we may revoke your account and install tokens. Sections 3 to 7 continue after the agreement ends.
7. General
This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. If part of it can't be enforced, the rest still applies. We may update it for future releases; the version that came with a release applies to that release.
