Coldtill vs Bitcart

Bitcart is a free, MIT-licensed self-hosted crypto payment gateway: light, modular and popular with developers. Coldtill is a self-hosted gateway with deposit addresses that can only pay your cold wallet and 200+ coins through auto-convert. Both need no sign-up and take no KYC.

The short answer: pick Bitcart if you want a free open-source gateway for Bitcoin-style coins or Monero, or a built-in store. Pick Coldtill if your customers pay in stablecoins or on Ethereum-style chains, Tron or Solana, and you want every customer to get their own deposit address without keys on the server.

Where Coldtill is stronger

Every customer gets a deposit address, safely. Without its plugin, Bitcart sends all Ethereum-style and Tron payments to one address and asks customers which address they're paying from, so payments from an exchange can't be matched. The paid plugin fixes that with a pool of addresses whose private keys are kept in your database, plus a hot fee wallet for token sweeps. Coldtill gives each customer a contract that can only pay your cold wallet, on every chain, with no keys for those addresses anywhere.

More coins, and you get paid in dollars. USDT and USDC are built in on Ethereum, Base, Polygon, BNB Chain, Tron and Solana, and auto-convert takes 200+ coins on 35+ chains and delivers USDC or USDT to your cold wallet. Bitcart has no conversion, so you hold whatever each customer paid with. Settling in stablecoins keeps every sale at its dollar value, which makes accounting and tax returns much simpler.

No usage billing. Coldtill's licences are one-time payments. Coldtill doesn't report your volume to anyone, has no licence server and keeps running if coldtill.com goes offline.

Which should you choose?

Choose Bitcart for Bitcoin-style coins or Monero, a built-in store, or if open source is a must.

Choose Coldtill if you take stablecoins or payments on Ethereum-style chains, Tron or Solana, want payments from exchanges to just work, and don't want keys for customer deposits on your server.
